Norfolk Virginia – Fun Stuff

You won’t have to worry about your friends and family being bored when they come to stay with you in Norfolk. In addition to all of the things you enjoy doing, you’ll also be able to treat them to all kinds of fun events they wouldn’t be able to enjoy in their hometown.

Visitors provide you with the perfect opportunity to book a ride on The Victory Rover. This is a guided nautical tour of the Norfolk area. The Victory Rover is guided by an experienced captain who doubles as your tour guide. For two hours you and your visitors will be able to enjoy a pleasant trip skimming atop the waters, taking in the sights, and getting a wonderfully interactive history lesson of the area. You’ll enjoy the experience so much, you’ll want to book another trip.

For The Runners

Runners will want to clear their calendar and make sure they’re ready for the Monarch 5K and Adventure Race. This event has three different categories and rewards all three victors. What makes this event unusual is that the 5K and the Adventure Race are two different events, though they take place on the same date and about the same location. The adventure race remains shrouded in mystery, the only thing participants know before the event is that the race will be less than 3 miles. The route gets revealed just before the start. Participants in the Monarch 5K will run a loop through downtown Norfolk, twice.

TowneBank Fountain Park

The highlight of the spring in Norfolk is the TowneBank Fountain Park. This is a community wide event that Norfolk residents always look forward to, and which draws in visitors from the surrounding areas. The highlight of the event is when the official Norfolk fountain gets turned on for the spring and summer. Everyone is encouraged to put on their favorite bathing suit and play in the water. The event is full of laughter and happy memories. In addition to being a fantastic way to spend the day with your family and friends, the family friendly event is free, making it a good choice for your wallet.

Annual Norfolk Harborfest

In June you will want to make it a point to get yourself down to the waterfront. From June 6-9th the Annual Norfolk Harborfest will be in full swing. This is another free, family friendly event where you can be assured of making many happy memories. You’ll be able to enjoy amazing seafood, a parade of the tall ships, family friendly activities, and one of the best fireworks you’ve ever seen.

Spring Town Point Virginia Wine Festival

Wine lovers know that Virginia produces some really good wines and Norfolk likes to honor this part of their heritage at the Spring Town Point Virginia Wine Festival. In the past this event has taken place over a single day, but it’s recently been expanded to encompass two full days. Not only does it make good use of the waterfront district, but it also makes it easy for residents to get to know 25 of the local wine producers in the area. In addition to some wine related events, you’ll be able to sample some really, really good wine.

Easy to work with. Quick response. Goes above and beyond expectations – works beyond normal working hours – making very convenient to get work done in a timely manner. Very accommodating and knowledge.
