A New Englander born and raised in Newport, Rhode Island, alumna of the University of Rhode Island and Delta Zeta Sorority, Susan moved to Virginia Beach in 1989. Though originally a ‘Yankee’ she has firmly established her roots in VB and calls this her home.
Susan comes to us as a veteran Human Resources Business Leader with a reputable career serving people in the Behavioral Healthcare field treating severely emotionally disturbed children and their families and most recently heading HR at a law firm. Susan sits on the Board of Directors of the Hampton Roads Society for Human Resource Management and holds the position of Certification Director. Bridging the HR profession and the Real Estate profession is logical and seemingly effortless given her solution-oriented expertise in the areas of negotiation, communication, ethics, recruitment and selection, federal/state regulatory compliance, strategic planning, organization, people engagement and management, finance oversight and benefits administration. In her role as Licensed Realtor she will apply her years of finely honed skills and knowledge to assist her real estate clients in meeting their home buying and Home selling goals.
Aside from her commitment to her professional life, Susan is dedicated to her family and friends and unquestionably to her only child who she adores – a son she raised in a U.S. Navy SEAL family who she recently sent off to begin his freshman year of college at Radford University.
Susan has many passions – top favorites are rock-climbing, skiing, fashion and all things beautiful, art, music, coffee, wine, books, travel, adventure and learning.
A hidden fact to many is that she happens to be bilingual and able to speak Cantonese.
