Today you can look at homes for sale from just about anywhere even from your Smart Phone.

This provides consumers with the ability to see the available inventory of homes for sale, including pictures, price and a wide array of other information that varies from site to site.

The Choose a Home Now site of coarse is my favorite because it does not share your information with multiple Realtor’s causing your phone to blow up with unwanted calls every time you select a property.  You can find information on things you may not of even thought about like what is the WALK SCORE of a home you may be interested in.

The Con’s of searching out your new home on the internet search sites may surprise you a little.

Pit Falls

I have connected with many home buyer’s over the last few years who had been searching for weeks and even months online. Only to find out they could have been Under Contract  in less then a week with my help and delays in today’s market could cause you to pay higher interest rates.

The public sites never update as fast as the Professional MLS site Realtor’s have access to. This site updates faster than a lot of the national sites mostly due to cost.

National sites have huge expenses that vary by location. When a site is built to sell leads, lingering inventory works as an advantage to them. However you may miss a new listing because it goes under contract before it populates to the public to see.

There is other information not on public sites for example Short Sales a Realtor can see important information that you can’t.

Bottom Line is the public sites are a huge asset to see pictures and maps of a property, But can be a huge waist of time without using a Realtor to help sort them out for you.
